Live Caricatures - Knoxville Baby Shower

This was a fun little group. I was contacted about a month before hand about this by Lisa, who actually lives in Texas. The funny part about that is she was looking for a butt sketch artist, so we had a laugh about that when I asked her about it. She sent me back the contract through the mail and it worked out nicely just chatting back and forth through email to touch base. The event was nearby in Farragut. I was excited to get to draw everyone and they ended up wanting me to draw for longer so I actually stayed about and hour and a half longer than planned so everyone could be drawn.

I even got a little bonus hand massage as one of the guests was a masseuse, and I have to say it was pretty nice. I kind of wish I could bring her along to all my drawing events. Everyone was super nice at the shower and they even gave me one of the centerpieces which was a vase with live flowers. I couldn't have been happier to draw for them and really they treated me like family, it was awesome. I also got a special surprise when I saw one of my old co-workers nurse Cheryl! She helped take care of one of our special ed. students Ben who had a feeding tube so I saw her almost everyday at school. It was awesome to see her there and it turned out to be a great shower.

Banjo Croc

So I was just playing around with an animal playing an instrument. It's fun to brush up on my digital painting with something different every once in a while.

Vin Deisel Melanie Thierry - Caricature Sketchbook

Babylon A.D. was a sci-fi movie made a few years back. I wouldn't say it was the best movie ever made, but I'm not a movie critic. It was interesting and had some really nice scenes of a futuristic type world, which I always enjoy viewing others perspectives of. So I did a little sketch of the two main characters. I am working on some others so this may end up staying as a sketch for a while. Here are some photos because most people don't know who I'm talking about.

Self Portrait Sketch

This was a little game where you had to take a picture of yourself holding a drawing of yourself.

Live Caricatures at the Corporate Christmas Party

This event was held at the brewery in downtown Knoxville near the World's Fair Park and the Sunsphere. I was very excited about this one because I had a lot of contact with the clients and they were really looking forward to the company party.

The party turned out to be a gaudy Christmas theme, which was pretty funny in itself, so right away it wasn't too hard to find some nice extra details to add into peoples caricatures. They booked me for 3 hours so I had lots of time to draw faces, and almost everyone there got a caricature, 30 faces total.

Most of the lighting was from Christmas lights, so I apologize if the quality isn't that great.
